Named one of Travel + Leisure’s best wineries and 2025 Sonoma Valley People’s Choice Best Winery, Rhinefarm Estate has been owned, farmed and operated by our family since 1858. Our winery is known for our warm people, our cool climate, and our creative spirit. We make approachable, unpretentious wines of outstanding quality. Come on over and visit us for a wine tasting, vineyard experience or live music to get to know our laid-back Sonoma vibe.
We are open every day, 11:00am – 4:30pm for tours and tastings, with the last seating at 3pm. Reservations are encouraged, especially on the weekends. If you prefer to walk-in, we recommend stopping by on a weekday for your best chance for a seated tasting. Our property is family and dog friendly. Please, no outside food. We offer an assortment of cheeses and charcuterie.

If you’re looking for a classic Sonoma wine tasting with a twist, our Rhinefarm Tasting delivers just that. Kick back in our winery courtyard or cozy up in the barrel room while one of our engaging hosts guides you through a curated flight of five estate-grown wines. Named after our certified organic vineyard, this experience showcases the best of Rhinefarm in every glass. Optional seasonal snacks can be added on to round things out. $45/person

Bundschu Heritage Flight

When you’ve been making wine for over 160 years, you don’t use the word ‘Heritage’ lightly. Relax in our winery courtyard (or indoors in our historic barrel room, weather dependent) and experience a rare flight of five limited bottlings that showcase the very best of our estate vineyard, crafted from select old vines hand-chosen by the Bundschu Family. $75/person + tax. ($30 per club member when redeeming quarterly benefits) 90 minute experience.

GB UNDERGROUND CAVE TOUR
Every day at 11AM & 2:30PM.
Bring it backstage and underground with an intro to the wines and history of California’s oldest wine family. This unforgettable experience takes you into the Gundlach Bundschu deep cuts, one sip at a time. Glass in hand, your wine educator will lead you through our epic wine cave—an architectural marvel carved into the hillside—sharing legendary stories of six generations of Bundschu winemaking and revelry. Along the way, you’ll taste through a curated flight of estate-grown wines and, weather permitting, detour out the back cave doors to explore our regenerative organic vineyard, historic vines, and resident wildlife. The tour concludes with a pour of our Vintage Reserve Cabernet.

Home for the Holidays Tour
Saturday & Sunday @1pm
Tis the season to bundle up and settle into something special. Join us for a festive holiday adventure across the historic Bundschu family property – beginning in the tasting room, then hopping aboard our vintage Pinzgauer for a ride through Rhinefarm before gathering inside the family home for stories, heritage, and a little Bundschu mischief. The experience ends fireside in our Redwood Barn lounge with music, tastes of our Regenerative Organic estate wines, and the cozy magic of winter in Sonoma. $95/person
Experience is 90 minutes. Please, no pets & 21+ only.
This is a public tour, so be prepared to meet some awesome people, and arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you get the whole experience.
Sonoma Original Bar Tasting

Join us in our historic winery tasting room for The Sonoma Original Bar Tasting and discover what wine tasting was like in Sonoma when we first opened our tasting room nearly 50 years ago. In this standing bar experience, you’ll get an introduction to our regenerative organic wines as your host guides you through a tasting of three Rhinefarm favorites. Reservations can be made in advance and are available for walk-ins on a first come, first served basis for parties up to four. Please allow 45 minutes for your tasting and note this tasting is a standing tasting, just like it used to be For our full seated tasting experience, please select the Rhinefarm Tasting. $25/person
Private Group Tasting

This private wine tasting is available for groups of nine or larger and is the perfect way to celebrate any special occasion in a big way! Kick back as your knowledgeable host educates and entertains your group through a memorable flight of 5 of our organically-farmed wines.
