“From the picnic table area to the wine cellar cave, everything was breathtaking.” – Yelp Review
Although our underground wine cave wasn’t a harbor from Prohibition woes, its barrel-lined halls can tell some classic Bundschu stories. Jim Bundschu dug this cave (with the help of Gary the Gopher) in the 1990s after coveting the caves in France, and it has housed both our older and the newest vintages ever since. Access is normally only offered by escorted tour, but not this winter.
Enter through heavy, wooden doors to escape the cold winter woes and warm up with a few of our special wines and legendary hospitality. This seated tasting offers an exploration of five red wines (including a library wine) paired with local cheeses and charcuterie. A wine educator will walk you through each selection and offer their informative insight on our wines and deep heritage. And, because wine is best when shared, this is a communal experience around a large table– you might make a friend or two. You’re welcome.
