Although our underground wine cave wasn’t a harbor from Prohibition woes, its barrel-lined halls can tell some classic Bundschu stories. Jim Bundschu dug this cave (with the help of Gary the Gopher) in the 1990s after coveting the caves in France, and it has housed both our older and the newest vintages ever since.
This underground cavern stays a naturally chilly temperature for the wines, but the dining room definitely adds cool factor. This seated tasting offers an exploration of five wines (including a library wine), paired with local cheeses and charcuterie. A wine educator will walk you through each selection and offer their informative insight on our wines and deep heritage. And, because wine is best when shared, this is a communal experience around a large table– you might make a friend or two. You’re welcome.
