About the Bands:Fruit BatsFruit Bats began in 1999 by Eric Johnson the guitarist, pianist and singer of the band. Over the years Eric Johnson has been the only constant member and the band’s main songwriter. Fruit Bats began in Chicago but moved their home to Seattle. The American folk rock band has been described as playing “zoology rock,” “rustic pop” and “bootgazer.” The band has toured with Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, Modest Mouse and The Shins, and signed with Sub Pop in late summer 2002, recording their second album, 2003's Mouthfuls. The group released their third album, Spelled in Bones, in 2005. Their fourth album The Ruminant Band, was released in 2009. The latest album, Tripper, shows haunting production and story-based songs, and was released in 2011.

Gold LeavesSeattle-based songwriter Grant Olsen —best known as half of the duo Arthur & Yu—christened his new project Gold Leaves. The debut album, titled The Ornament, is vibrant, carefully orchestrated, and idiosyncratically unique. Visit

Garrett PierceGarrett Pierce pens songs that peek into that same dark, yet optimistic place that Henry Miller and Leonard Cohen tapped into. His voice seems to soar alongside acoustic ballads or dirgey rock songs with the emotional confidence of someone who has found his path after years of yearning. Check out
